I contacted Phillip through word of mouth as he had been highly recommended to me. During my time with Phillip he put me at ease and helped develop my knowledge to pass my oral examination, he is patient and passionate about what he does and combined with his superb teaching technique allowed me to structure my answers and digest the MGN 69 syllabus.

I will definitely recommend MAS Marine for the final stage of studying before taking the Oral exam , the way that Philip approaches the course, helps to organise the puzzle of information floating around our heads and focus it into organised answers with precise wording, making us feel calm and ready to face the examiner.

I would just say that MAS Marine from the initial contact / enquiry to the passing of the exam is fantastic. The course content was on point, the accommodation with the Sherwood Guest House is great and the all-round Liverpool hospitality is something I will always cherish and look back on.

MAS Marine helped me book the oral, sent over relevant course notes each week leading up the prep week, arranged for my accommodation with the Sherwood guest house and arranged for my transport to and from the oral. All I had to focus on was the course!

Captain Shenton is a leader in the Maritime industry, he has been a deep sea master, he has been an MCA surveyor, he has helped set up the technical side of the Antigua flag state and is still participates in IMO. He has seen it, done it and his practical approach to the prep week sets you up for the rest of your career not only the oral. Yes I walk away having successfully completed the Masters Oral but I have walked away with confidence in my underpinning knowledge.
